Finance for Non-Finance Managers

Course Outline
The Finance for Non-Finance Managers training workshop assists to empower cost centre managers and administrators from non-accounting backgrounds through the development of a better understanding of budget management.

Course Structure
The course covers topics such as:
  • Basic accounting concepts
  • Identification of the key features of financial reports
  • Reviewing and understanding financial statements
  • Analysing financial statements to improve operational performance
  • Applying cost concepts and budget forecasting to plan and develop operational budgets
Delivery
The course is delivered in an 8 hour training workshop, which consists of:
  • Facilitator led instruction and discussion
  • Practical activities
Selection Criteria
Prospective participants:
  • Must be responsible for an operational, department or project budget
Course Outcomes
Finance for Non-Finance Managers can develop the individual’s leadership potential by empowering them to:

Award
